Blanton's | Single Barrel | Bourbon Whiskey
In the winter of 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born into a family with deep roots in bourbon history. At just sixteen, he began his career at the Distillery as an office boy and quickly became a trailblazer in bourbon production. When he became company president in 1921, Blanton oversaw the expansion of the Distillery from 44 to 144 buildings, making it the largest of its time. During his tenure, he crafted a special, limited batch of bourbon for his private reserve, selecting and aging it in what is now the legendary Warehouse H. Though Colonel Blanton passed away in 1959, his legacy endures. In 1984, Blanton's namesake bourbon became the first commercially sold Single Barrel Bourbon—a true pioneer in the category.
The flavor profile is rich and complex, featuring sweet notes with hints of citrus and oak. The nose offers creamy vanilla with touches of caramel and butterscotch, balanced by warm baking spices like clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Since its release in 1984, Blanton’s Original has set the benchmark for single barrel bourbons. Enjoy it neat or over ice.
Bottled at 46.5% ABV.
